How to use Samsung Galaxy S6 as the Mobile Hotspot

By activating the mobile hotspot on the Samsung Galaxy S6, you can use your device as the Wi-Fi access point for other devices. This is very useful, if you want to surf the internet via laptop.

If you want to activate this feature on your Galaxy S6, follow the instructions as below:

From the home screen, tap on the menu and then go to Settings. After that, tap on Mobile Hotspot and Tethering. In the next sub-menu, choose “Mobile Hotspot”.

Switch the controller to enable the access point on the Samsung Galaxy S6.

Now, set up your laptop by searching the wireless network “AndroidAP”. Connect your laptop with the hotspot of the Galaxy S6. You will be asked to enter the password which will be displayed on the Galaxy S6 tethering menu.

Now, your laptop is connected to the internet via Wi-Fi of the Samsung Galaxy S6.
